An apparatus for detecting wear in a flush valve configured to at least partially reseal based upon water pressure within the flush valve. The flush valve is associated with a typical water pressure or pressure range required to at least partially reseal the flush valve during operation. During normal operation the typical water pressure or pressure range is present in the flush valve at a known time after operation. The apparatus comprises a microprocessor configured to: determine a sensed water pressure in at least a portion of the flush valve at the known time required to at least partially reseal the flush valve during normal operation; determine if the sensed water pressure is less …

Why it's free to use

  • Filed October 7, 2005 and granted August 15, 2017. A Canadian patent filed from October 1, 1989 lasts 20 years from filing, so its term ended October 7, 2025.
  • Certificates of supplementary protection extend only drug patents, and it isn't classified as one.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
