Our commitment
We want Patent Yard to work for everyone. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA, and we test pages with automated accessibility checks, keyboard-only use and both light and dark modes.
What helps
- Every page works with a keyboard, with visible focus and a "skip to content" link.
- Settings let you choose light or dark mode, larger text, reduced motion, and original black-on-white drawings.
- Patent drawings have text alternatives, and every patent's full text is linked.
Known limits
Older patents come from scanned documents, and some of their text and drawings are hard to read. Content on linked third-party sites isn't under our control.
