- Patent Yard is a free, informational service. It lists US patents and published applications drawn from public USPTO records and links to each source.
- Status information can be wrong or out of date. Verify a patent's status with the USPTO before you rely on it.
- Plain-English names, summaries, modern angles and build ratings are Patent Yard's own editorial notes, not part of the patent.
- Reservations are a courtesy between users. They create no legal rights or obligations, and we may remove any reservation or note.
- Prompts and briefs are starting points. Anything Claude produces from them can be wrong or incomplete, and you are responsible for anything you file or build.
- Don't use Patent Yard to harass people, post others' private information in notes, or overload the service.
