The present invention is a label system and method for label alignment and placement on a container. The label system includes a first label (20) or a container (10) whereby the first label (20) includes alignment symbology (30) and a second label (40) having an alignment area (50) corresponding to the alignment symbology of the first label. The second label (40) is positioned on the container (10) whereby the alignment area (50) of the second label is aligned with the alignment symbology (30) of the first label (20).
