An intraocular implant includes a telescope body at least two lenses, and a positioning means mounting structure. The intraocular implant is intended for placement upstream of a retina. The telescope body defines an optical path for light to pass through. The at least two lenses are enclosed in the telescope body. The positioning means position the at least two lenses along the optical path relative to one another to allow the focus of objects located at multiple distances onto the retina. The mounting structure is connected to the telescope body to allow the ocular implant to be implanted in an eye.

Why it's free to use
- Filed December 17, 2003 and granted March 12, 2013. A Canadian patent filed from October 1, 1989 lasts 20 years from filing, so its term ended December 17, 2023.
- A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by December 17, 2025.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
