This invention provides for compositions for use in real time nucleic acid detection processes. Such real time nucleic acid detection processes are carried out with energy transfer elements attached to nucleic acid primers nucleotides, nucleic acid probes or nucleic acid binding agents. Real time nucleic acid detection allows for the qualitative or quantitative detection or determination of single-stranded or double-stranded nucleic acids of interest in a sample. Other processes are provided by this invention including processes for removing a portion of a homopolymeric sequence e.g. poly A sequence or tail, from an analyte or library of analytes. Why it's free to use
- Filed March 11, 2003 and granted August 9, 2016. A Canadian patent filed from October 1, 1989 lasts 20 years from filing, so its term ended March 11, 2023.
- A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by March 11, 2025.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
