A composite structure consists of two external skins (2, 3) and of an internal core (1) between them wherein a portion (6) of one of the external skins (2) has to be replaced, with pressure from a counter-form (8) and suction. The repair is accomplished by piercing a vent hole (14) in the opposite external skin (3) in order to discharge the air in the cells of the core (1), which improves adhesive bonding of the new portion (6) on the core (1).

Why it's free to use
- Filed September 27, 2006 and granted April 15, 2014. A Canadian patent filed from October 1, 1989 lasts 20 years from filing, so its term ended September 27, 2026.
- Certificates of supplementary protection extend only drug patents, and it isn't classified as one.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
