Abstract From the Canadian patent

A method for pore pressure prediction. The method includes obtaining a stress sensitivity coefficient, obtaining a compressional wave (P-wave) velocity and a shear wave (S-wave) velocity for a pre-drill location and obtaining a first predicted pore pressure. Further, the method includes iteratively performing calculating a total stress value associated with the pre- drill location using the first predicted pore pressure associated with the pre- drill location and , calculating a second predicted pore pressure associated with the pre-drill location using a stress-pressure relationship equation a stress-velocity , relationship equation the stress sensitivity coefficient, a reference …

Why it's free to use

  • Filed August 8, 2006 and granted April 23, 2013. A Canadian patent filed from October 1, 1989 lasts 20 years from filing, so its term ended August 8, 2026.
  • Certificates of supplementary protection extend only drug patents, and it isn't classified as one.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
