Abstract From the Canadian patent

Methods and apparatus for treatment, such as skin rejuvenation treatment use , non-uniform laser radiation. An output beam from a laser source such as an Nd:YAG , laser, is coupled into an optical system that modifies the beam to provide a large-diameter beam having a nonuniform energy profile comprised of a , plurality of high-intensity zones surrounded by lower-intensity zones within the treatment …

Why it's free to use

  • Filed April 21, 2006 and granted June 10, 2014. A Canadian patent filed from October 1, 1989 lasts 20 years from filing, so its term ended April 21, 2026.
  • Certificates of supplementary protection extend only drug patents, and it isn't classified as one.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
