Abstract From the Canadian patent

A method to improve the efficiency of refuge crops in preventing the development of insects that are resistant to an insecticide. The method involves using an attractant to lure insects to the refuge and increase the population of survivors. The protected crops include cotton and corn. The refuge crop may be the same crop, a different crop or a naturally occurring , plant population.
