Abstract From the Canadian patent

The invention relates to a method for producing aqueous polymer dispersions containing pesticides, having an average particle diameter of the dispersed particles of < 1000 nm, by radical polymerisation of an oil-in-water emulsion whereby the oil phase contains at least one pesticide in at least one ethylenically unsaturated monomer. Said method consists of emulsifying a solution of at least one pesticide in at least one monomer in water in the , presence of at least one surface-active agent in order to form a mini-, emulsion having an average particle size of <500 nm and/or adding at least one pesticide during or after emulsification and subsequently radically polymerising the …

Why it's free to use

  • Filed March 7, 2006 and granted October 15, 2013. A Canadian patent filed from October 1, 1989 lasts 20 years from filing, so its term ended March 7, 2026.
  • Certificates of supplementary protection extend only drug patents, and it isn't classified as one.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
