The invention relates to a modular mat which is formed by base profiles (1) in the form of U-shaped grooves, with respect to which covering profiles (2) determining the mat surface are incorporated by means of fitted coupling the , base profiles (1) being able to be joined by means of lateral engagement therebetween so as to form the desired mat extension.
