Abstract From the Canadian patent

A mass spectrometer is disclosed comprising a MALDI ion source coupled to an orthogonal acceleration Time of Flight mass analyser (13). The mass spectrometer is operated at a first instrument setting wherein specific parent ions are selected by a mass filter and are accelerated to a first axial energy. The fragment ions are then orthogonally accelerated after a first delay time and first mass spectral data is obtained. The mass spectrometer is then operated at a second instrument setting wherein the axial energy of the parent ions is increased and the resulting fragment ions are orthogonally accelerated after a reduced delay time. Second mass spectral data is then obtained. The …

Why it's free to use

  • Filed December 19, 2005 and granted December 3, 2013. A Canadian patent filed from October 1, 1989 lasts 20 years from filing, so its term ended December 19, 2025.
  • Certificates of supplementary protection extend only drug patents, and it isn't classified as one.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
