Abstract From the Canadian patent

The invention relates to a device and method for analysing and diagnosticating a system which are based on a system model and are for industrial plants controlled by logic programmed or wired control automation. The inventive method comprises a model initialisation stage and a stage for establishing a list of inconsistent variables whose value in the system differs from the value predicted by the model. For each value of the inconsistency list the initial list of variables suspected to generate an inconsistent value is established and afterwards, a short list of suspected variables is obtainable by filtering the initial list.

Why it's free to use

  • Filed September 28, 2005 and granted April 12, 2016. A Canadian patent filed from October 1, 1989 lasts 20 years from filing, so its term ended September 28, 2025.
  • Certificates of supplementary protection extend only drug patents, and it isn't classified as one.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
