Abstract From the Canadian patent

The invention concerns a method for treating porous and permeable underground formations or cavities of the reservoir rock or backfill type. The method consists in injecting a liquid composition comprising microgels into the formations so as to reduce production of water gas or sand, and/or zone abandonment.
