Disclosed are stabilized lubricating oil compositions with improved oxidative performance. The lubricating oil compositions contain a combination of a) diisooctyl alpha-(3,5-di-tert-butyl-4-hydroxybenzyl) glutarate (see above formula), b) 2,6-di-tert-butylphenol and isooctyl 3,5-di-tert-butyl-4hydroxyhydrocinnamate and, c) a base fluid wherein the percent by weight of component a) to the total weight of component a) plus , component b) is 0.001 percent to 99.999 percent.
