Abstract From the Canadian patent

The invention relates to the stranding of long winding material using a substantially cylindrical rotary body. The rotary body comprises a first passage for guiding a first winding material through the cylindrical rotary body and a second passage for guiding a second winding material through the cylindrical rotary body. The first passage connects a first offset inlet on a first end side of the rotary body to a first offset outlet on a second end side of the rotary body which opposes the , first end side.
