Abstract From the Canadian patent

The invention relates to a method for transmitting a predetermined pulse sequence (I1 I2, I3) on a power distribution network (3) transmitting a determined voltage (Uac) wherein the pulses are embodied in the form of high-frequency interfering pulses naturally transmitted by an electric element (1) which is connected to the distribution network by a switch (2) controllable by a control signal (CS) in such a way that said high-frequency interfering pulses are transmitted at the control signal rate. In one embodiment the control signal is used as a data carrier in such a way that the data carrying high-frequency interfering pulses are transmitted at the control signal rate.

Why it's free to use

  • Filed June 20, 2005 and granted November 26, 2013. A Canadian patent filed from October 1, 1989 lasts 20 years from filing, so its term ended June 20, 2025.
  • Certificates of supplementary protection extend only drug patents, and it isn't classified as one.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
