A spout assembly for a fluid reservoir used in a personal care appliance includes an upper spout portion (16), the upper spout portion including two gripping elements (30, 32) on opposing ends of the base section the gripping , elements extending above the base section and having an outer surface which is curved to receive the fingers of the user. The spout assembly further includes a receiving assembly (17) which extends down into the pouch for receiving a fluid connecting assembly from a pump for the reservoir.
