An improved freeze-thaw durability wet cast cementitious composition is provided that uses in-situ production of gas by gas generating additives and optionally polymeric microspheres that are blended directly into the mixture. The gas generating additives and the polymeric microspheres provide void spaces in the material matrix, and such void spaces act to increase freezethaw durability of the material.

Why it's free to use
- Filed June 14, 2005 and granted September 11, 2012. A Canadian patent filed from October 1, 1989 lasts 20 years from filing, so its term ended June 14, 2025.
- Certificates of supplementary protection extend only drug patents, and it isn't classified as one.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
