The present invention provides a method for determining the presence or amount of a metal-labelled species in a sample. In the method the metal of the metal-, labelled species in the sample is caused to form a soluble electrochemicallyactive complex which is then electrochemically measuring to provide an indication of the presence or amount of the metal-labelled species. The soluble electrochemically-active complex is stable relative to moieties present or potentially present in the sample which will form an insoluble and/or electrochemically-inactive complex with the metal. The metal-labelled species may be formed by the binding of an analyte to be detected with a metallabelled …

Why it's free to use
- Filed June 7, 2005 and granted May 13, 2014. A Canadian patent filed from October 1, 1989 lasts 20 years from filing, so its term ended June 7, 2025.
- Certificates of supplementary protection extend only drug patents, and it isn't classified as one.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
