Abstract From the Canadian patent

A stent-graft assembly is provided for a variety of medical treatment. The stent-graft assembly includes a stent disposed between an inner layer of graft material and an outer layer of graft material. The graft layers are effectively secured to the stent by attaching the graft layers together through , openings in the structure of the stent. Relative movement between the graft layers and the stent is made possible by providing unattached margins between the attached areas of the graft layers and the edges of the stent openings.

Why it's free to use

  • Filed March 23, 2005 and granted August 27, 2013. A Canadian patent filed from October 1, 1989 lasts 20 years from filing, so its term ended March 23, 2025.
  • Certificates of supplementary protection extend only drug patents, and it isn't classified as one.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
