Abstract From the Canadian patent

A turbine bucket includes a tip cap having a shield and a cap. The shield includes an , oxidant resistant material and a cup shape. The cap includes a high strength material. , The cap fits within the shield. A squealer tip is positioned about the tip cap. Thus , there is provided a tip cap which is resistant to oxidation and which resists bulging , due to creep.
