The present invention relates to a device and method for stirring or mixing liquid and/or powdered ingredients with liquid in a drinking vessel (4) the , liquid being supplied through a stirring device (3) to an outlet tube (64) which conducts at least one liquid jet towards the interior of the drinking vessel (4). The liquid is supplied through an outlet tube (64) which is rotatably attached to the device (3) and is associated to an external magnetic member (82).
