Abstract From the Canadian patent

Method for updating a geological reservoir model by integrating dynamic data. An initial map (.gamma.) of petro-physical properties is constructed using a geo-statistical simulator and static data. Then an initial set of gradual pilot points (PP i) is constructed as well as at least one complementary set of gradual pilot points (PP c). Next a combined set of gradual pilot points (PP(t)) is constructed by combining these sets of gradual pilot points according to the gradual deformation method in which at least one deformation parameter is a characteristic parameter of the said pilot points (position and/or value). The initial map (.gamma.) is then modified taking into account the …

Why it's free to use

  • Filed September 1, 2006 and granted November 18, 2014. A Canadian patent filed from October 1, 1989 lasts 20 years from filing, so its term ended September 1, 2026.
  • Certificates of supplementary protection extend only drug patents, and it isn't classified as one.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
