The invention relates to herbicidal compositions comprising an effective amount of an active ingredient combination composed of (a) at least one substituted thien-3-ylsulfonylamino(thio) carbonyl--triazolin(thi) one of the formula (I) (see formula I) , in which, R1, R2 and R3 are as defined in the description - or salts of the compounds of the formula (I) -- and, (b) one or more compounds from a second group of herbicides which comprises selected 4-HPPD inhibitors, and if desired, additionally, (c) a crop plant tolerance promoter compound. The invention further relates to the use of the compositions for controlling unwanted plant growth and to a process for producing the compositions.
