The sole of a skate has a base determined by the manufacturer. For a perfectionist skater who wants a multipurpose sole however, the solution we are proposing is the use of a sub-sole specifically with a rigid non-deformable heel capable of being inserted under supports under this sub-sole. Uses for which this sub-sole is designed: at the heel location there is the possibility of interchanging the supports under this sub-sole and to play with the skating.

Why it's free to use
- Filed August 29, 2006 and granted October 31, 2017. A Canadian patent filed from October 1, 1989 lasts 20 years from filing, so its term ended August 29, 2026.
- Certificates of supplementary protection extend only drug patents, and it isn't classified as one.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
