The present invention regards a system and method for supplying electrical power to a subsea installation in a remote location. The subsea installation being connected to a second installation by a fluid supply line said second , installation being arranged to supply pressurized fluid through said supply line to said subsea installation.The system and method comprising electrical generating means preferably in the form of a turbine operatively connected to said fluid supply line at said subsea installation.
