The invention makes it possible to measure in real time, the flow of a fluid that is incompressible while having an unsteady flow. The pressure measuring system is primarily comprised of a negative-pressure element (1) placed within the flow and provided with two wall pressure taps (A B). A means (2) for measuring a pressure difference connected to the pressure taps (A B) enables the following formula to be solved: dq(t)/dt + .alpha.(q(t)) = .beta. x .DELTA.p(t) directly stemming from fundamental equations of fluid mechanics and/or: .DELTA.p(t) represents the pressure difference measured by the sensor; q(t) represents the sought volume flow rate and; .alpha. represents a function of the …

Why it's free to use
- Filed February 16, 2005 and granted April 2, 2013. A Canadian patent filed from October 1, 1989 lasts 20 years from filing, so its term ended February 16, 2025.
- Certificates of supplementary protection extend only drug patents, and it isn't classified as one.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
