Abstract From the Canadian patent

A stabilizable preform precursor for composites is provided. The preform precursor has at least one layer of a structural fabric comprised of reinforcing fibers wherein at least one of the layer(s) of structural fabric has integrated therein one or more stabilizing fiber(s) that dissolves at a dissolution temperature in a resin for infusing into the structural fabric to make the composite. Why it's free to use

  • Filed December 28, 2004 and granted August 21, 2012. A Canadian patent filed from October 1, 1989 lasts 20 years from filing, so its term ended December 28, 2024.
  • Certificates of supplementary protection extend only drug patents, and it isn't classified as one.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
