To provide a method for industrially producing COF2 in good yield. A method for producing carbonyl fluoride which , comprises continuously supplying carbon monoxide A and fluorine B together with a diluent gas into a reaction chamber 1 and letting them react with each other and which is characterized in that hydrogen fluoride or carbonyl fluoride is used as the diluent gas.
