Abstract From the Canadian patent

The invention relates to a method for regenerating reforming catalysts. The catalyst generally comprises at least one precious metal preferably a metal from group VIII of the periodical classification of elements optionally at least one additional metal at least one halogen and at least one porous medium. The inventive method comprises at least one spent catalyst combustion phase and at least one oxyhalogenation stage said stages being carried out in a single regeneration area wherein the catalyst to be regenerated is located in the form of a fluidized bed.
