Abstract From the Canadian patent

A device for manufacturing a crosslaid fibre web on the basis of two parallel longitudinal fibre webs and segments of another longitudinal fibre web comprises a fixing table on which the longitudinal fibre webs and the segments come together. Furthermore the device comprises a pair of high-voltage bars movably arranged with respect to the fixing table. When a segment is in a correct end position with respect to the longitudinal fibre webs on the fixing table the pair of high-voltage bars is activated and moved with respect to the segment and the longitudinal fibre webs wherein the segment and the longitudinal fibre webs are situated between the high-voltage bars.
