The present invention relates to a composite fabric (2) having a plurality of substantially parallel, coaxially aligned tow groups (5 7), each of the tow , groups having one or more tows (4) wherein a portion of the tow groups contain two or more tows, wherein the spacing (6) between tows in a tow group is less than the spacing between adjacent tow groups. The spacing between adjacent tow groups form flow channels which permit resin to flow evenly and quickly through the fabric. This results in shorter processing time and a more consistent resin distribution, decreasing the likelihood of resin starved areas within the cured laminate.

Why it's free to use
- Filed September 13, 2004 and granted January 24, 2012. A Canadian patent filed from October 1, 1989 lasts 20 years from filing, so its term ended September 13, 2024.
- A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by September 13, 2026.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
