The invention concerns a heavy vehicle (1) such as a transport vehicle or a civil engineering machine weighing more than 500 tons, equipped with radially structured tyres (2 3, 4, 5) of diameter greater than three and a half meters having an axial width more than 37 inches comprising a front end assembly (8) provided with at least two tyres (5) and a rear end assembly (7) through which is transmitted at least part of the tractive force. The invention is characterized in that the vehicle rear end assembly comprises at least five tyres.
