A system and method of operating a wind farm (12) having multiple wind turbine generators (14 16, 18), at high wind speeds is provided. Wind speeds at individual wind turbine generators (14 16, 18) are monitored and a signal is transmitted from the wind turbine generators (14 16, 18) to a wind farm control system (50) based on the monitored wind speeds. Rate of change of collective power output of the wind farm (12) is temporally monitored and is controlled by coordinating of operational states of the wind turbine generators (14 16, 18) based upon the signals transmitted by the one or more wind turbine generators (14 16, 18), operating conditions of the wind turbine generators (14 16, 18) …

Why it's free to use

  • Filed December 8, 2005 and granted August 2, 2016. A Canadian patent filed from October 1, 1989 lasts 20 years from filing, so its term ended December 8, 2025.
  • Certificates of supplementary protection extend only drug patents, and it isn't classified as one.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
