Compositions and methods for enhancing delivery of molecules e.g. biological , agents, into cells are described. The composition is a conjugate of the biological agent, preferably a, nucleic acid analog having a substantially uncharged backbone covalently , linked to a peptide, transporter moiety as described. An exemplary peptide transporter moiety has the sequence, (Arg-Y-Arg)4, where Y is 6-aminohexanoic acid. Conjugation of the peptide transporter to a, substantially uncharged nucleic acid analog such as a morpholino oligomer, is , also shown to enhance binding of the oligomer to its target sequence and enhance antisense activity.

Why it's free to use
- Filed April 29, 2004 and granted July 17, 2012. A Canadian patent filed from October 1, 1989 lasts 20 years from filing, so its term ended April 29, 2024.
- A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by April 29, 2026.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
