A highly sensitive, high-throughput immuno-amplification assay is provided for clinically relevant samples, such as blood. The assay comprises the use of two proximity members comprising an analyte-specific binding component conjugated to an oligonucleotide. Binding an analyte brings the oligonucleotide moieties of the proximity members sufficiently close to form an amplicon. The presence of the analyte then is detected through amplification of the amplicon and detection of the amplified nucleic acids. The sensitivity of the assay of the present invention is improved by preventing spurious or non-specific amplicon formation by proximity members that are not complexed with an …

Why it's free to use
- Filed April 19, 2004 and granted June 10, 2014. A Canadian patent filed from October 1, 1989 lasts 20 years from filing, so its term ended April 19, 2024.
- A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by April 19, 2026.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
