Abstract From the Canadian patent

A system and method for printing both record members having RFID transponders disposed thereon and record members not having RFID transponders disposed thereon. In one embodiment a RFID printer receives data to be printed on a record member and determines if the data includes RFID data. If the received data includes RFID data the printer prints a RFID record member according to the received data. If the received data does not include RFID data the printer transmits the data to a non-RFID printer for printing.
