Apparatus for rapidly heating reactants for use in a reformer including a combustion section having a combustion chamber (36) containing a catalyst (16) providing a non-diffused flow path through the combustion chamber (36). A heat recovery section is in fluid communication with the combustion section and defines a heat recovery chamber (38). At least one heat exchange element (18) is located within the heat recovery chamber (38) for heating a fuel reforming reactant. Why it's free to use

  • Filed March 30, 2004 and granted January 3, 2012. A Canadian patent filed from October 1, 1989 lasts 20 years from filing, so its term ended March 30, 2024.
  • A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by March 30, 2026.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
