Abstract From the Canadian patent

A method for quickly forming a stochastic model representing the distribution of a physical variable in a porous heterogeneous environment which is calibrated in relation to dynamic data by appropriate selection of geostatic realizations which are to be combined in a linear manner. An iterative process of gradual deformation is used wherein an initial geostatic realization (y) of the environment and a number (N-1) (N>1) of other realizations (z¿i?) i =1,~ (N-1), which are independent of the initial realization(y) are combined at each iteration, imposing constraints upon the linear combination coefficients of the realizations (y) and (z¿i?) i =1,~ (N-1), and an objective function (J) is …

Why it's free to use

  • Filed March 16, 2004 and granted May 14, 2013. A Canadian patent filed from October 1, 1989 lasts 20 years from filing, so its term ended March 16, 2024.
  • A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by March 16, 2026.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
