Abstract From the Canadian patent

A gas turbine engine system (10) having improved thermal efficiency which comprises: (1) an inlet air stream (66); and (2) a dry low emissions combustor assembly (22) having an air inlet (156) for receiving the inlet air stream at least one bleed air port (192, 194, 196) and an air outlet (157) for discharging at least a portion of the received air from the inlet air stream (66). This system (10) includes a source of warmer air (58 94) capable of raising the ambient temperature of the inlet air stream (66) received by the air inlet (156) of the dry low emissions combustor assembly (22) while operating at a partial load until the system (10) reaches a new equilibrium state having improved …

Why it's free to use

  • Filed August 25, 2005 and granted March 12, 2013. A Canadian patent filed from October 1, 1989 lasts 20 years from filing, so its term ended August 25, 2025.
  • Certificates of supplementary protection extend only drug patents, and it isn't classified as one.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
