Abstract From the Canadian patent

As a rule, chromium-oxide forming materials for high temperatures in , particular chromium-based alloys or chromium-rich alloys based on iron (ferritic steel) are used as , interconnector materials that are subjected to high temperatures. At SOFC operating temperatures said material group forms a , chromium-based oxidic top coating, which has the advantage of preventing rapid oxidation damage but , also the disadvantage of , continuing to react forming Cr(VI) compounds. Said volatile compounds react regularly with the cathode , material, producing the negative effect of impairing the oxygen reduction. Why it's free to use

  • Filed January 13, 2004 and granted September 25, 2012. A Canadian patent filed from October 1, 1989 lasts 20 years from filing, so its term ended January 13, 2024.
  • A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by January 13, 2026.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
