The present invention relates to non-steroidal ligands for use in nuclear receptor-based inducible gene expression system and a method to modulate , exogenous gene expression in which an ecdysone receptor complex comprising: a DNA binding domain; a ligand binding domain; a transactivation domain; and a ligand is contracted with a DNA construct comprising: the exogenous gene and a response element; wherein the exogenous gene is under the control of the response element and binding of the DNA binding domain to the response element in the presence of the ligand results in activation or suppression of the gene.

Why it's free to use
- Filed February 10, 2004 and granted December 11, 2012. A Canadian patent filed from October 1, 1989 lasts 20 years from filing, so its term ended February 10, 2024.
- A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by February 10, 2026.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
