Abstract From the Canadian patent

In an aircraft engine at the low-pressure compressor (5) level imbalance effects may occur. In order to increase the rigidity of the set and therefore decrease potential cracks due to accidental imbalance stiffeners (20) are suggested, which can be integrated by one of their extremities (22) to the crankcase (7) at the level of the structural arm (10) and at the other extremity (32) to the compressor (5) ideally at the level of the upper face of the third rectifier (RD3). An additional advantage is that the stiffeners are joined to each other in two places; their construction is optimized to limit the additional weight due to their presence.

Why it's free to use

  • Filed July 5, 2005 and granted December 4, 2012. A Canadian patent filed from October 1, 1989 lasts 20 years from filing, so its term ended July 5, 2025.
  • Certificates of supplementary protection extend only drug patents, and it isn't classified as one.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
