A contaminated solvent recycling system comprises a distillation vessel having a distillation zone and a separate waste collection zone and heating means for heating contaminated solvent feed within the distillation zone vessel to distill off the solvent. By separating the distillation zone from the waste collection zone, the distillation zone can be made small enough to process small consecutive batches of contaminated solvent feed whilst the waste collection zone can be made large enough to accommodate waste accumulating from the distillation process for extended periods of time between waste removal operations.

Why it's free to use
- Filed December 3, 2003 and granted June 25, 2013. A Canadian patent filed from October 1, 1989 lasts 20 years from filing, so its term ended December 3, 2023.
- A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by December 3, 2025.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
