The present invention is a method of generating a model (122) of a random field which has directionally varying continuity (112). First a tentative , model for the random field is specified (111). Second connected strings of , nodes within the model are identified (113). Third a spectral simulation on , each of the strings of nodes is performed to determine updated values for the random field (116). Finally, the tentative model is updated with the data values from the spectral simulations (117 112).

Why it's free to use
- Filed August 22, 2003 and granted July 23, 2013. A Canadian patent filed from October 1, 1989 lasts 20 years from filing, so its term ended August 22, 2023.
- A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by August 22, 2025.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
