Method and device to produce polyurethane articles (37 137, 237) covered on , one side by a film (19). The method provides a step wherein the film (19) is made to adhere to one zone of a part of a mold and a heating step wherein one , segment of the film (19) is heated before the film (19) is made to adhere to the part of the mold. The heating step is performed by means of a movable , heating assembly (15) in an intermediate position between a first position outside the mold and a second position associated with the mold. In the heating step the film (19) is also partly pre-formed.
