Abstract From the Canadian patent

A housing (20) for electrical lighting fixtures with improved ballast mounting is disclosed. The ballast (10) is mounted such that it tightly engages two walls (30, 40) of the housing. The housing is a heat sink and heat from the ballast is efficiently transferred to the two walls. The ballast is preferably mounted to one of the two walls. The wall to which the ballast is mounted preferably includes a channel (33) and the ballast preferably includes a bore (12), such that a rod (50) passing through the bore and positioned in the channel mounts the ballast to the wall.
