The invention relates to a method for determing the radial modulus of elasticity of paper or a corresponding web-like mateiral that can be reeled or wound on a reel. In the method the connection between the force and deflection of a material arranged in layers is measured. The measurements of force and deflection necessary for calculating the radial modulus of elasticity are performed on a reel (R) of paper or corresponding material outside the reeling or winding position by loading the reel with a press member (1).

Why it's free to use
- Filed October 22, 2003 and granted July 24, 2012. A Canadian patent filed from October 1, 1989 lasts 20 years from filing, so its term ended October 22, 2023.
- A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by October 22, 2025.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
